ZkittleZ Strain Background

Today we are doing a ZkittleZ Strain Review with a Z at the start and at the end.  So let’s briefly go over the background of the zkittlez cannabis strain.

This strain is a really popular one at the moment. It combines Grape Ape strain with grapefruit strain and mixes those flavor profiles and really does deliver a unique,strong, delicious, sweet, and fruity flavor..

The tagline for the candy skittles is to taste the rainbow.  With this strain you get that with a flavor and appearance of the zkittlez bud. The buds develop a nice purplish color just before flowering.

The main reason Zkittlez has  a high level of fame and popularity is due to the strain’s unique flavor. As its name suggests, Zkittlez is a strain with both a strong aroma and flavor that are repeatedly compared to the popular candy, Skittles.

This particular batch of the zkittlez is some of the best I’ve come across. This batch was organically grown in living soil, using the no-till method of growing.  Now let’s get this review going as we go over appearance next.

Appearance

Let’s talk about the appearance of this zkittlez cannabis strain. The jar we have is pretty cool as the sticker on it says “taste the Strain”. So let’s crack it open and see waht we got.

First thing we noticed is that there aren’t as many colors as we were expecting. The flower we got from previous grower had plenty of purples and plenty of different colors on the the bud. This bud had more of a single green color with a loosely stacked calyx that had a coloring that reminded me of the Asain Dust Strain color.

The pistols on the flower are very visable. We also pulled out some more nugs out and the rest were similiar in that they had more of a singular color. So all the different colors this strain is known for wasn’t showing in this flower that we have. Could be just this crop that had a lack of color as previous ones we have tried had more coloring. This flower did have a nice trim job though.

Even with the lack of color we were expecting we are still impressed. Now in our opinion zkittlez isn’t as complex as some ofthe other strains we have seen. But it deserves it’s reputation as it has a unique structure and shape. I wwouldn’t say it wowed us or made us jump out of our seats but it’s definitely solid in appearance

 
 

Smell

But how does it smell? I like to open a jar and just get a whiff of that great smell. For me this is where the true zkittlez flavor really starts to come through. The aroma is so identifiably with the zkittlez buds that you can just tell as soon as that hit my nostrils. That is what gives it its distinguished ability amongst the other leading strains out there in my honest opinion.

What we liked was you smell it clearly and you know what exactly you’re smelling. So what does it really smell like? Well we got a mixed sweet fruitiness that combines the grapefruit and the grape together. It comes across like a sweet, sour citrus kind of combo. First whiff we got an aroma like a bag of sweets.

But then, as you inhale deeply, you start to get the citrus notes like creeping in.  It’s a real pleasure to smell this one. So this strain has a really really nice smell. Ten out of ten in terms of the smell I’ve smelt a fair bit of zkittlez.

This is some of the nicest smelling zkiittlez that I’ve tried.  I could literally just stand here like for an hour just smelling this and just enjoying the sensation.  Wowza one hour later excellent, excellent expression of the skills of Roma in this grow.

So let’s break the smell down a little. There was a certain pungency with it getting sweet as you went along. As a result there is a mixture of fruity flavors that get released. This strain has a hint of smell like a Cali inspired strain that has a naural and pungent type of skunk scent.

 
 

Taste

Moving on to the taste of the zkittlez strain. We have our bongs and we are gonna smoke some bombs so we can tell you how it treats us. Just got to round up some zkittlez in our bongs so we can enjoy.

This isn’t my firsttime trying this strain as I mentioned before. I have tried almost all of the consumption methods and I like it best through a bong. Joints were also very good as well. So those are the two methods I suggest trying zskittlez with.

Wow the flavor that came through was nice and smooth with a strong flavor profile. This is one of the nicest zskittlez I have tried. Don’t know if it’s because this was grown orgainc with the no till method. I really enjoyed the flavor though. There was also no need to cough or no sort of acridity in the chest.

This strain just tasted really really nice. Got hit with notes of strawberry, grape, lemon, and berry, therefore you will truly taste the rainbow. The Zkittlez strain is in my top five for sure right now.
