Sunset Sherbet Background

Let’s talk about the background of this high caliber strain. I’ve been excited about this Sunset Sherbet strain review for some time. This is an absolute powerhouse of a strain that creator Mr. Sherbinski made by crossing the Girl Scout Cookies and Pink Panties strains.  Thus creating an Indica dominant hybrid.

Sunset Sherbet captures the complexity and appearance of it’s Girl Scout parents. It captures some of that magic with both these parents in it’s TERT profile.  This strain has a really nice strength to it. Sunset Sherbet has also been bred back with the Girl Scout cookies strain to create gelato.

So if you’re a fan of any of those Cali strain gelatos that have come up from the gelato lineage once that removed in the sunset sherbet super interesting that stuff big up to Roadrunner. The batch of Sunset Sherbet that I tried has been organically grown.  Using the no teal growing method, this gave some of the nicest flavored cannabis I have had the pleasure of sampling.  If you need some tips on how to grow cannabis check the FREE Grow Bible.

Appearance

Let’s talk about the appearance of this cannabis strain. Looking at this bud in detail, there is a deep complexity to this bud that I love. It reminds me a lot of the Girl Scout cookies strain.  I have tried Girl Scout cookies on numerous occasions and am a big fan.

Sunset Sherbet has lovely deep mottled green with the darker leaf bases with a lighter color resin on the bud. Underneath all this it has popping orange and yellow pistols that look absolutely fantastic.

The bud structures are amazing. They are nice and dense. It has a solid bud structure with a complex look. The coloration of this bud is just so lovely.

The calyx is a stat but not overly densely stacked into one nug.  Therefore it can separated quite easily. I would rate this really highly in terms of look. There are still some Leaf bases left on there, but it just adds to this different coloration and complexity.

I know if you got this from a dispensary in California they would probably trim all of that off, and you’d, be left with little boulders. That is why I suggest buying your own seeds and growing it yourself.

The smoke from Sunset Sherbet gives is really nice. You are not going to taste data from the leaf bases because they’re covered in trichomes, which gets top marks from me.

In terms of the appearance, I would say that this strain looks nicer than most others. It gets that a 10 out of 10 for every other area that covers the appearance.

Smell

Now let’s talk about the smell of sunset sherbet! Get a whiff of some of this in a jar and you will say WHOA! It has a deliciously sweet and pungent smell. This again reminds me of the Girl Scout cookies strain.

To me is has a really nice sort of smell. It has a creeping pungent offensive smell with a deep inhalation. What I mean by offensive is if you don’t like the smell of cannabis. This will make you miss the hint of citrus, but it’s not like a sour or tart e-types.

To me the smell is a little bit like hops. A really nice smell that’s nice and complex, led with pungency. When I cracked open the jar the pungency notes were similar to the super glue strain.

When I opened the jar it also had a sort of gassy power to it.  The smell was super rich and super strong. Oh what a lovely smell sunset sherbet has and gets top marks from me.  But how does it taste?  My favorite bit of the Sherbet review is next.

Taste

To get ready for this taste test of Sunset Sherbet strain I prepared.  Got a brand new grinder, lighter, and even cleaned the bong throughly.

I ground up in my new grinder but since it was new it left a bit of a pencil case smell. But I was too excited to care too much so I put in this fantasic smelling cannabis strain into my bong and was ready to smoke a bowl.

When smoking the stem was pulled down.  The leading flavor coming through was a bit of sweetness with little to no pungency.  There was also a sort of sweet hoppy flavor that was not as strong as the smell.

Second round I tried with my vaporizor.  On exhale got a nice sort of cookie taste.  Was very clean with no bite or acridity.  Also had a sort of sweet berry taste that wasn’t very pungent.

When I talk about pungent, I’m talking about that classic skunk type flavor. Interestingly enough I have eard some users reported it tastes a bit like sherbert.  I got different sweet notes, but not that fizziness that I would expect from the name.

The name of the strain is sherbet, but I got definite hints of berry, skunky, earthy, pungent, and gassy. Now let’s talk about the effects of sunset sherbet.

Effects

My eyes felt like they were closing a little bit. The high is actually really nice and relaxing. It feels that I could be creative with this strain as well.  So I like that it puts you in that mindset.

Yes it has a heavy smoke. I could feel it in my head, but like not as in my mind in my head.  You can feel it in your body, but in my head I can tell from my voice that is on the indica side as well.

I put a little bit more base and and took a little bit of the energy out it. So I experienced solid indica effects and that about wraps it up.

Summary

So let’s sum things up. I really enjoyed doing this Sunset Sherbet strain review. Sherbert is a lovely strain that has lovely smoke.

The appearance which is complex in it’s different coloration, nice trichome coverage, as well the different colors of green making.

This strain looks fantastic and smells absolutely lovely. I really like those sort of under tones.  Has Berry notes in addition to that pungency and then flag. Well, this is what I’m trying to work out. Is it better through the bong or is it better through the vaporizer? I think I prefer smoking it.

The Strain is nice through both methods. Effects wise the indica dominant high certainly kicks in very nice and fast.  Sunset Sherbet is a strong strain suited for an afternoon or even a warm weekend smoke since it’s definitely got some creative energy there too as well.
