Some believe that Super Skunk may be the “first hybrid breeding project with Afghani roots”. The THC levels on Super Skunk can vary widely and can reach above 20%. So this strain definitely has some bite to it.

Appearance

Upon opening the jar I am noticing the buds are not dry but very dense. You can see the buds are dense and they’re really sticky. Picking up with my fingers these buds are really really sticky. I haven’t seen a bud this sticky on the legal market.

Looking a bit closer the buds on the Super Skunk are light green in color with brown pistils. There is also a plethora of trichomes which are the hair, appendages, or outgrowths on the plant. Some users have noticed undertones of orange and brown but what I am seeing is mostly brown.

Now this Super Skunk bud is blowing me away. The buds are just coated in crystals and is sticky as hell. I can’t wait to tap into this bud.

I am very excited to see how this baby tastes but first let’s go over the smell of Super Skunk Strain.

 

Smell

As soon as lifted and peeled the lid a got a pretty potent aroma.

Wow this smell is really potent and this strain lives up to it’s name. Super Skunk derives it’s name from its parents and it’s scent. Like its parent strain Skunk #1, Super Skunk has a really strong, pungent skunk aroma with some hints of citrus. Also name is derived from the actual animal skunk as some say the smell of skunk is very similar to some strains of cannabis.

I have read others say that the skunky smell reminds them of ammonia. While others say that the smell is like cheese or the fungus underside of a rock. What’s more is others even say Super Skunk has fruity notes of pomegranate and cranberry.

I got none of those other smells or aromas. I don’t have the best nose so I will leave it up to you to decide. All I know is I got a strong, pungent, ultra skunky aroma.

 

Taste

The wait is finally over the tasting portion of the review is upon us.

First couple of hits of Super Skunk I got a really mild kind of flavor. It was earthy and skunky but with something different to it. It is an almost herbal type of flavor. Also getting some lemon citrus flavor in there as well.

As time goes on the flavors contune to push through. I am really enjoying it now as different flavor profiles appear. Towards the end a was getting a sour and kinda of gassy flavor with some sweet dullness to it. Flavor expands the more and longer you smoke it could be the contrasting temperatures.

So I got a really light citrus taste when smoking Super Skunk that isally goes into the glue type strains out there. It was sort of an aftertaste that was pretty mild in intenisty. Citrus flavor was nice and light and didn’t overwhelm the other flavors.

From what I have read others describe Super Skunk as a clean smoke that is earthy, skunky, and has some sweetness to it. Some have even had fruit notes such as faint watermelon flavor. I got hints of a lemony citrus so maybe everyone is not to off.

I really did enjoy the flavor of Super Skunk but let’s move on to the effects.

Effects

I am quite impressed with the high Super Skunk gives.

What’s good about this strain is the high wasn’t overwhelming but it’s strong It has a heel of a hold on my body but I was sitting relatively comfortable. Didn’t have any stress and actually had a sort of relieved feeling. The pleasant feelings didn’t last too long for me though. I would estimate the high lasted around 90 minutes or so.

I think I could sit down and play video games with Super Skunk so it’s not a total couch lock but everyone is different.

From what I have read others have experienced some other stuff as well. Some users have reported a euphoric body buzz that improves mood, sparks creativity, and encourages a carefree attitude. While others have said the high helped relieve body pains, uplight spirits, and relieved everyday stress.

Since Super Skunk gives a heacy Indica body buzz it has good effects for medical users. This strain can be used for all times of day pain relief. It can also be used at night to calm your anxiety and help get rid of insomnia. People with cramps and headaches have reported Super Skunk has help them with the pain and to relax.

For recreational users, Super Skunk can put you in a euphoric zone or even spacey type of state. user of all tolerance levels should be able to find something useful with Super Skunk. A word of caution for novice smokers, this strain can be a heavy hitter and can put you on your ass. Super Skunk Strain Review Summary

I think I can definitely rate the Super Skunk strain highly. All the way around you can tell Super Skunk is just really good cannabis.

From just the appearance I wanted to smoke this strain really bad. With all trichomes and crystals on the buds this strain is an absolute beauty to look at. Just talking about it again is making my mouth water.

The smell is just like it’s name. This strain has a really skunky smell and to me is appropiately named. Also got hints of citrus as well if I didn’t mention that before. If you use Super Skunk even just a few times you will be able to detect the scent very easily after.

Taste-wise Super Skunk was interesting. As time went on as I smoked I was able to pick up different flavors. This strain smells like it also tastes, skunky and earthy. I also picked up on some sour lemony hints with some sweetness in there as well.

The effects of Super Skunk are what this this strain is known for. Got a nice, relaxing body high that wasn’t too overwhelming. Some users should be able to use this during the day as well but I encourage newbies to take it slow.

Overall this strain is very good. There is a reason why it’s been so popular fr so long. Certain aspects such as taste and smell aren’t for everyone but the effects everyone should find something they like about this strain.
